First, it might help to explain what a flip book is.  Think back to the days when you began doodling on the side of your notebook.  One page of a ball bouncing...the next of the ball slightly lower on the page....then hitting the ground....the next page bouncing a little higher.  This went on for a while until you flipped the pages back and watched the ball bounce up and down via animation.

The flip book has deep roots - first coming on the scene in September of 1868, when a British printer by the name of John Barnes Linnet patented the form of animation under the name kineograph, or "moving picture."  Fast forward and some people might remember seeing this version of the flip book in penny arcades and amusement parks.  Flip books have long been used by advertisers and marketers - from prizes in Cracker Jack boxes in the early 1900's to novelty giveaways for automobile and snack food companies in the 1960's-70's.

So, what is The Flipbook Studio, you ask?  Simply put, The Flipbook Studio is a way to bring your parties to life with the newest craze in customized party favors.  How?  We set up a display in a 10'x10' area at your party or event and invite guests to step behind the camera and make a short video clip.  In a minute-and-a-half, we turn the video clip into a personalized flipbook while partygoers watch.  It creates a buzz as your guests watch each other make a short video clip and give each other ideas.  The Flipbook Studio averages 40 flipbooks per hour and is versatile enough to fit into any party setting, from casual to couture.  Sure, there are other companies who make flipbooks, but The Flipbook Studio differs from the competition because we make the flipbooks right in front of the party guests.  No waiting for flipbooks in the mail - it's immediate gratification!

1. How much does it cost to have The Flipbook Studio at my event?

3. Does The Flipbook Studio travel to events outside of our region?
Yes, we do!  Travel expenses to locations outside of our region will be billed accordingly.

4. What do you need in order to set up at an event?
We prefer a 10 foot x 10 foot area, but can be slightly flexible depending on the layout of the venue.  We also need one standard wall outlet.  It is best if the venue can provide us with two 6 foot tables (skirted to match the rest of the party). If your event is outdoors, please contact us for information on our generator and tent.  

5. Do you do outdoor events?
Yes we do!  If you need us to provide a tent or generator, extra fees might be involved.  Please let us know if you would like us to be outdoors when you ask for the quote so we can work out the details of the logistics.  

6. Can I send you a video clip and have you send it back to me in a flipbook?
Not at this time.  Because of our unique patent pending process and software, we need to take the video clip of you ourselves.  Our charm is making custom flipbooks at events while your guests interact and watch!

7. We are interested in using The Flipbook Studio flipbooks as a Save the Date card - can we do this?
Yes, it's a very creative and unique idea!  Pre-made flipbooks also make great Thank You cards or can even be placed a few to a table if your budget is tight.  At The Flipbook Studio, we make these pre-made flipbooks by coming to our showroom to take the short video clip and then process the order in our studio.  The minimum order is 75 flipbooks, and we have limited availability due to our busy event schedule.

8. How many people can I fit in a flipbook?
Let's just say, as many people as you can fit into our display in under 7 seconds!

9. How many flipbooks can you make in an hour?
We average 40  flipbooks per hour, although lately we have been averaging 50 flipbooks per hour.  This number all depends on the cooperation of the guests and the number of retakes and copies they want us to do.
